The Streamer Awards 2023

our work

project
description

As the first awards show of its kind, the Streamer Awards showcases the achievements of web-based artists and performers. For its second annual event, the show was staged at the historic Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, CA, where set design called for slick, contemporary touches to evoke traditional Hollywood glamour with a modern twist.

We were asked to fabricate custom-designed, A/V-integrated set pieces that would not only look amazing on camera, but could be broken down, transported across the country, then reassembled and ready to go within minutes.

solution

description

We worked with our partners at Katapult Events to create the perfect plug-and-play thematic elements for this groundbreaking show. The pièce de résistance was a grand staircase composed of eight segments, built in our shop and numbered for swift reassembly at the venue. The staircase lit up the night with diffused acrylic kickers and integrated customizable LED lighting that was tied to show control for color changes throughout the performance. In addition, an arched aluminum backdrop composed of seven seamless segments added depth and additional lighting opportunities behind presenters.
